Why it matters

Smart Devices Meet Old Wiring

Most smart switches need a neutral wire in the switch box. Many homes built before the 1980s don’t have one there, which is why so many DIY installs stall.

We have options. Some smart switches work without a neutral, and in other cases we can run one. Video doorbells often need a bigger transformer than the old doorbell used, which we can replace.

Crowded boxes are a real issue. Smart switches are deeper than old toggles, and older boxes can be too small. We make sure everything fits safely.
